5 hiking routes

** Mallorca** is no longer just a sun and beach destination. In recent years it has become a paradise for hikers, and there are many hiking trails.

More and more people are visiting the island in search of hiking routes and to be able to enjoy outdoor activities where enjoying the best views and landscapes is guaranteed.

Then we propose some hiking trails that are not very difficult and we think they are very worthwhile.

Torrent de Pareis

Located about 60 km from Hotel Costa Azul , it is probably one of the most popular routes in Mallorca. It is a torrent that crosses the Sierra de Tramontana.

It is not an easy route so it is recommended to people who are used to long walks, have good physical condition and good hiking boots.

It is advisable to avoid rainy seasons.

Sant Elm- Ruta de la Trapa

Located about 34 km from the Hotel Costa Azul , the access by car is easy, you have to park in the village and from there the trek begins that if you manage to reach the end this trek will offer you beautiful views of the sea and the Island of the Dragonera. It is an excursion of about 3 hours, 10 km.

It is an excursion that can be done with the whole family.

Cabrera

It is an island that can only be accessed by boat from the Colonia de Sant Jordi which is situated 50 km from the Hotel Costa Azul , or swimming 10 km.

It is a protected national park, and has several walks that are not very difficult and can be done if you do not have much experience or as a family with children. There is a route of 11 km to a lighthouse and another of 7 km where you could visit several caves.

It is worth going to Cabrera not only for hiking but also to enjoy nature and this exceptional landscape.

Masanella

A route that starts at the Monastery of Lluc, located 50 km from the Hotel Costa Azul- Masanella is not the highest mountain in Mallorca, but it is the highest accessible mountain, from where you can see incredible views of the island and Puig Major, which is the highest mountain in Mallorca.

The route from the Lluc Monastery is a circular route that starts in a holm oak forest.

Route of difficulty, lasting approximately 7 hours, 15 km to travel.

Castillo de Alaró

A hiking route that is very successful is the visit to the ruins of the Castle of Alaró.

Alaró is 30 km from the Costa Azul Hotel. The walk starts from the city of Alaró, it is not a very complicated route and its duration is approximately two hours.

A route so popular that it is best to avoid it on weekends.
